They look like grass that light's up when the dusk sets in, they harvest their energy from the sun during the daytime and glow for atleast 6 hours during the nighttime.

There are to options on how they light up, there is the steady mode that is shown here, but also the flashy mode for those holiday events. This bird will make your garden stand out alot, maybe to much, so if you are trying to add class into your garden then this might be a little tacky for your taste. But it is still a really cool thing.
